HEIMSPIEL # 11: Jules Valeron
20. November | Kick-Off: 8.30 p.m.
@ Alter Roter Löwe Rein | Richardstr. 31 | 12043 Berlin
Home is where your stereo plays lost in space – on November 20th 2014. At HEIMSPIEL # 11 Jules Valeron will take us on a Space (-Pop)-Odyssey.
Jules Valeron – photographer, componist and musician residing in Berlin – is the control centre of The Coconuts Club which engages all kind of collaborators such as singers, musicans, visual artists and writers. On the record Stranded they dive into the universe of nonchalant space-pioneer Viktor who finds himself stranded on a desert planet. On his journey he finds himself confronted with invisible powers and has to go beyond the borders of the material world he controlled so well.
Jules Valeron takes the listener on a Space-Pop-Odyssey which oscillates somewhere in the scope of 80s Synthpop, Easy Listening and New French Chanson. Seemingly agravic he orbits around planet Pop providing reminiscences to grandes like Serge Gainsbourg, Air and Sébastien Tellier. Together with his companions of The Coconuts Club he will present catchy melodies, dancy beats and experimental soundscapes with a spice of space-romanticism.
