Concert series HEIMSPIEL is heading towards its summer break. Before this little breather two musical acts from the other side of the globe will conquer the cozy playground at Alter Roter Löwe Rein on July 26th.

Anna Morley is an Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer. After completing her musical studies in Australia, Anna made the move to Europe, where she spent seven years in Barcelona and recorded her first two longplayers. With her subsequent move to Berlin in 2013 she released her third and latest record entitled Water Door. Within her compositions Anna effortlessly blends a unique gamut of instrumentation including the vibraphone, vocals, keys and electronic beats and samples. Her music is an eclectic fusion of electro-acoustic vibes with ambient overtones, woven together by fresh minimal grooves.

Miles Calder is a singer-songwriter from Wellington, New Zealand. Drawing inspiration from Neil Young, Justin Townes Earle, Bright Eyes and Bob Dylan, Miles Calder has developed a skillful and distinctive Americana songwriting style with narrative lyrics. In 2013, Miles Calder & The Rumours released The Crossing Over EP; a record exhibiting raw honesty and eloquent storytelling through seven succinct country and folk originals. The EP was nominated for the Taite Music Prize (Best Album) and the New Zealand Music Award for the best country music album. The band have since sold out a string of headline shows in Wellington and supported M. Ward (USA). For the first time Miles Calder presents his heartfelt music to the European audience.
